180710 From one skateboarder to another – track your tricks!

Today I want to talk about one of my biggest passions: skateboarding. When possible, I practice it myself and those who have tried performing tricks know the strong commitment that is required in this discipline. Learning a new trick means repeating the same movements for days, weeks or even months.

Since I like tech gadgets, in particular for sports, I wondered if somebody has ever developed a device to help skateboarders improve their skills and I found something very interesting! RideBlock produces sensors that can be easily placed between the board and the trucks, in order to monitor the movements. The data are then analyzed, allowing the recognition of the trick that you have performed and giving plenty of information about it (for example the height or the flight time of your ollie). All these data are sent to your mobile app, where you can keep track of your sessions. This can be an awesome tool for skateboarders at any level to improve their technique, but the good news don’t finish here!
RideBlock makes it possible to share your performance with your friends or the whole community, so that you can show your skills to everybody and challenge other skateboarders.

If you are a skateboarder, take a look at RideBlock’s website (http://www.rideblock.com/)!
If you are not a skateboarder, go and buy a skateboard for yourself, you will not regret it!
