It does not look too hard does it?
Gunmarie practising yoga on Santa Monica public beach in Los Angeles, so yes, public health is everywhere:-) The fascinating thing with Los Angeles is how they are a driver in public health and a trendsetter. Companies within the health field are running exercise groups on the beach for adults and children where you can try anything from yoga to jogging. We tried! You can do it too!
This is what is fascinating – how they adjust to nature and do what is natural for this town and environment. We can do the same in Sweden and shape it for our environment, bring out people on lawns and on snow to do funny group events and create an app to go with it.

Below: Dr Chang on AI and Machine Learning that will be fundamental in the future just as putting your shoes on when you leave home. You will not even think about it, it will just be there naturally. Our project works with AI, and it is true that the more you know about it the more you feel it always should have been there.

The MTIF 2019 was interesting. It focused on the individual healh tech situation and on prevention – why not take charge of your own situation?
One other important subject was financing, a vital subject for all research centras and organisations that wants to be competitive: To find financing and to commercialize products for end users is very important – plain exercise is simple – medtech is not – it has several regulations depending on the country of your choice.
At the moment it is a good time to put forward proposals and products, there is venture capital that is willing to take the risk and right now development cannot keep up with demand. So let us get in there!
The days in Newport Beach, Los Angeles, ended with start-ups presenting their new ideas, innovations and technology. Kudos to the ecosystem OctanE for a great arrangement!

Fresh report från Professor Matej Supej:
Finally we got Ski Team Sweden XC and biathlon together for a fully functional, software and hardware test of our system. This is the new lightweight system!
A small RTK GNSS unit (four times smaller compared to similar systems with the same measurement accuracy), 100 times better precision (1-5 cm horizontally and 2-10 cm vertical) compared to ordinary GPS and high frequency connected to a smartphone that works as an interface for a GNSS, a 3D accelerometer and a 3D gyroscope. For this there is a specially developed software that enables detailed / accurate analysis of biomechanics / technology and performance in connection with training and / or competition and this data can be synchronized with video and used for direct comparison between skiers.IoS_3_basestation
