Me and Erika – outside the Science Park that hosts CIC`s workspaces, innovation labs, soft landing programs and international cooperations. CIC Miami opened its doors four years ago with a vision to bridge the nation´s second largest health district with the rest of Miami´s thriving innovation corridor – and this place rock! This environment is both innovative, inclusive and a big impact-hub for economic development. There is a program for investors, and regular “impact-reports” tells the true success story.

We are excited and we so badly want our health tech companies to be a part of this!
Streaming new innovation tech-ideas, focusing on societal challenges, changing the world by integrating entrepreneurs and start ups with the right channels at the right time and the right way – this crowd does it!
Miami Dade College, the largest college in the US turns people from all walks of life into entrepreneurs, we met some very impressive students that we will defiitely get back at!
Here you will find the Markethack, CREATE Accelerator, The Startup Challenge and the Innovation Lab.
Software specialists Angel and Alan at Cobuild Lab working side by side with twelve start ups to make them successful in tech, and at Wework Pedro supports all sorts of entrepreneurs to coach them from the very beginning. It is a buzzing environment – we stayed at the Idea Center to hang out for a while….to kind of melt the buzz….

A place where ideas can grow!
We took a walk in the backyard of ETI where there were alligators in the channel and innovations built up for solar energy. Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers is moving its positions forward to be a player in technology and sustainablity, and here they do it in a very personal way. ETI also takes an interest in societal challenges such as health tech. As a new centre they are open to collaborations and they have a great attitude!
The 3 year young ETI is a 26,000 square foot research and development complex designed to support new educational initiatives, enhance regional workforce and economic development, and foster collaboration involving higher education, government and industry. The ETI also is the first project in the Fort Myers ITEC, a 240-acre development planned as a magnet for technology and research companies.
We can´t wait to see what the future holds!
